From the earliest days of the ‘Verse, Guilds have provided structure and protection for their members. Eventually, this structure coalesced into the Guilds Conclave. Held once every decade, the Guilds Conclave brings representatives from each Guild together to formalize trade deals, ratify new guidelines and regulations, elect leaders, and allow each Guild to mingle with the others.
The Guilds of the ‘Verse
Grouping similar trades, professions, and livelihoods, Guilds are a concept brought from Earth-That-Was which has provided a bedrock of self-governance that transcends political alliance, bureaucracy, territorial boundaries and more. The Guilds follow local laws, as they interpret them, and may even be held above the strictures of local governments, (or widely ignore them) depending on the Guild. But every profession that has formed into a Guild has some regulation within their own grouping, with some held more tightly than others.

The ‘Verse
The Verse (often written ‘Verse or ‘verse) is a colloquialism for “the universe”, all the region of outer space known to mankind. This region is limited to the solar system and the system of stars, planets, and moons colonized by those who left Earth-That-Was.
Discovered by scientists in 2020, 34Tauri(2020) is a star cluster, of the likes of the triple star system Alpha Centauri. It consists of five main sequence stars, around which orbit seven protostars, seven gas giants, three separate asteroid belts, seventy-five planets, and one hundred forty-nine moons.[1] Four of the main sequence stars orbit a central star.
All the worlds that make up the ‘Verse have two names, a Sino (Chinese) name and Anglo (English) name. Sometimes, only one is used officially. This is not the case with the five main sequence stars. The Sino names of the five stars are based on the old-world concept of the Five Chinese Constellations. The Anglo names are given by the actual temperature-spectral color of the sun, with the exception of two which are yellow, named Georgia and Kalidasa.
From the Core to the Rim, the ‘Verse is a widely diverse system, with populations of every culture represented. The two predominant powers are the Sinic World and the Western European-Anglo-Saxon World, which is why English and Chinese are spoken by nearly every person. But you may find representation of most of the legacy cultures of Earth-That-Was.
